Thank you for supporting the College of The Arts
Student Hardship Fund
PSU students are facing extraordinary challenges at this time as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and Oregon’s stay-at-home order. While programs in the College of the Arts receive national recognition for innovation and creativity, many of our students come from low-income households, are non-traditional students (parents, returning students, etc.), and are part of traditionally underserved communities. Right now, faculty and staff in the College are focused on simply trying to get students what they need to complete their studies from home, including--but not limited to--access to affordable wifi, recording equipment, laptops, instruments, art-making equipment and supplies, associated software used in a classroom setting, and space to practice instruments and undertake art and design work.
Add to this the fact that many of our students have lost jobs and income, and those who have children at home are now also full-time caregivers and teachers, as schools have closed for the year.
This fund will provide immediate support to students in need of emergency funds to cover both academic and personal expenses, such as housing, medical bills, utilities, and equipment. Thank you for your gift to support College of the Arts students facing financial hardship during this challenging time.
