Established by the Zonoozy family, the Khalil Zonoozy Legacy Scholarship honors Dr. Zonoozy’s decades of teaching, mentorship, and impact at Portland State University.
For over 40 years, he has inspired students through his warmth, wisdom, and deep commitment to cross-cultural understanding, social justice, and education. Known for calling his students his “dear friends,” Dr. Z built classrooms rooted in compassion and community.
This scholarship supports students who reflect the values he has championed throughout his career.
