Your gift today can support the Department of Philosophy, including our "Socrates in the Schools" program and community-based educational initiatives, such as our Philosophy Summer Camp.
In previous years, the Summer Camp provided an opportunity for rising high school juniors and seniors to develop critical thinking and academic writing skills through interactive discussions and hands-on projects with Portland State University faculty and student leaders.
We remain committed to providing similar opportunities for high school students to engage with philosophy and enhance their academic growth. Donations can help support these outreach efforts, whether through future camps or other educational initiatives. These may include philosophy workshops or classes for high school students and the broader community, as well as scholarships or stipends for PSU philosophy students involved in K-12 philosophy education.
