About

The Higher Education in Prison Program is the only public bachelor's degree pathway for incarcerated students in Oregon. We are committed to rigorous quality higher education inside Oregon's prisons, and to supporting students upon release through our HEP Reentry Center, so they can continue their education, thrive and contribute meaningfully. We are currently at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility and Oregon State Penitentiary. Offering opportunity, access and support, our program changes lives and makes PSU and the larger community better.

What your gift can provide:

  • $25 can buy school supplies for one student.
  • $100 can purchase a student’s backpack and additional school supplies when transitioning to life on campus.
  • $300 can purchase a laptop to launch a student’s studies as they pursue their degree on campus.
  • $500 can purchase books and supplies for an entire course of 20 students inside Coffee Creek.
