The Department of World Languages and Literatures plays a central role in preparing students to function in the global community. We offer courses in 17 languages, and our classes are designed to help you develop proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking for eventual use in a broad variety of real-world settings.
One of the most special events WLL Department hosts is a departmental graduation ceremony for students who are graduating with WLL major, minor, or certificate. We are proud to hold this very precious and personable occasion where students who have been studying a world language come together and each one of them will be called to the podium in front of their families and friends to shine and be proud of their major achievement.
In a cozier setting from the general commencement, students receive congratulatory remarks and cheers from their departmental faculty and families that have supported them along this journey.
The WLL general fund can support WLL graduation ceremonies and other special events that help support WLL students and faculty.
