The Portland State Aerospace Society (PSAS) is a student-led, interdisciplinary, and open source aerospace student project (a bunch of self proclaimed space nerds) at PSU. We design, build, and fly amateur rockets and nanosatellites. Because of your support we've been able to reach the following milestones this year:
- We're halfway done building our THIRD open source satellite, Oresat1!
- OreSat0.5, our 2nd satellite, is still going strong in low earth orbit.
- Our liquid fuel rocket engine is now successfully test firing, and we're starting to iterate on rocket engines!
- We’re finally (really really) launching our next generation rocket, LV3.1, this summer in central Oregon.
- Our open source satellite ground station project is now being built at 4 other universities around the world.
- Other universities and organizations are now starting to use our satellite in parts of their CubeSats, including Brown University and Cal Poly Pomona!
Help us keep the momentum going! Your gift helps us continue our work for open source aerospace in Oregon and around the world! You can find out more about us at https://www.pdxaerospace.org/
