Help the PSU Library digitize the Vanguard archives!

From its beginning in 1946 as the Vet’s Extended, the student newspaper of the Vanport Extension Center, the Vanguard has been a cornerstone of the Portland State experience, documenting campus life and local and national news. The Vanguard is one of the most highly used collections of the PSU Library’s University Archives, but the original newsprint copies are vulnerable to deterioration and damage.

Digitization can help preserve this historical resource for years to come and make Portland State history available to all, anytime, anywhere. Any funds not spent on this priority will provide general support for the University Archives.
