Institute of Portland Metropolitan Studies Endowment Payout

The Institute of Metropolitan Studies is a local government think tank, focused on strengthening the regino's policymaking ecosystem and supporting local government moving towards action, not just reflection.

Our current projects include a new vision for the Portland Waterfront, in collaboration with Oregon Solutions, the Portland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Portland, and a deep dive into local transportation funding and spending, to help local governments figure out how to repair potholes, improve transit service, and cost-effectively deliver transportation projects to make it easier for residents to get around.

Funding raised during the #DayofGiving could help IMS hire a graduate student to support better research on these projects and make sure that PSU efforts across the university are brought into each set of policy recommendations!
