Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies

Join PSU’s Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies as we celebrate our upcoming 50th anniversary in 2026!
Our department has always been a hub on and off campus for connecting students to scholarship, theory, and activism to challenge systems of power and inequality in local and global contexts. We provide a cutting-edge education to our students in feminist, gender, and LGBTQ+ studies, with an emphasis on the intersections of race, class, gender, sexuality, and disability. Our efforts are even more vital given the current attacks on our field, BIPOC and transgender people, and reproductive freedoms.
